OLYMPIA – As the Legislative Session approaches its halfway mark, state Reps. John McCoy and Mike Sells invite their neighbors in the 38th legislative district to join them for a telephone town hall on Thursday, February 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Similar to a traditional town hall, this tele-forum will be an opportunity to bring up questions, comments and concerns about the 38th district, and topics related to the Washington State Legislature. This new technology allows participants to join the discussion from the comfort of their own homes.
Close to 30,000 residents will be called and invited to stay on the line to participate. Those not receiving a call are welcome to dial-in directly by calling the toll-free number 877-229-8493, and entering PIN code: 15513 when prompted.
Opening thoughts will be given by McCoy and Sells, but the majority of the tele-town hall will be spent taking questions from constituents on the call. Participants only have to hit *3 (star button and then three) to ask a question.
The Legislature began its 60-day session on Jan. 11.
